Nian Gao



The most important traditional food during Chinese New Year is Nian Gao. Nian Gao is a sticky rice pudding cake which is said to make people “advanced towards higher positions and work hard step by step achieve success”.

Jiao Zi


Jiao zi (dumplings) is another special food during Chinese New Year. People believe that Jiao Zi brings the promise of wealth and prosperity.

Togetherness Tray


Beside is the Tray of Togetherness which is known as chyuhn haap .It is customary for Chinese people who celebrate Chinese New Year to offer guests tea, along with a round or octagonal tray filled with a variety of treats, from nuts to sweets.

Spring Roll


Spring Roll is another special food. Spring Roll is nutritious and delicious so people like it. It contains pork and vegetable. It is traditionally eaten during Chinese New Year Celebration.

Fish


According to Chinese, Fish sounds like “save more”. Chinese people always save more money at the end year because they think if they save more, they can make more in the next year.
